On January 29th 2021 12:30 PM EST, LSI Consulting and Penn State University had the opportunity to present at the ASUG Public Sector and Government Influence Council. The successful presentation contained few slides and mostly a live demo of the up and running system.
Julie Bressler the Business Intelligence Lead for Project SIMBA, at Penn State University presented Embedded Analytics that was a part of the SIMBA go-live. The system includes innovative self-service functionality using Fiori front-end and executing reporting in the live S/4HANA system. SAP Business Users can now use these real time reports with full confidence in their quick performance to make their business decisions. One report in particular returned 12.3MM records in less than 10 seconds, now thats speed!
Kiran Mehendale, VP of Analytics and Technology at LSI Consulting provided a demo of the Query browser in S/4HANA which uses hundreds of SAP delivered CDS views to create flexible, drill down, slice and dice reports. In addition to being extremely user friendly, end users can filter, add/remove columns, add grouping, custom sort, convert to charts, enhance the report view and save it as favorite, share with colleagues among many other functionalities.
Mehendale also presented SAP Analytics Cloud which delivers timely and efficient metrics from various SAP and non-SAP datasources in very elegant user-friendly dashboards and stories. The Smart Analytics demo portion of his presentation grabbed the attention of the attendees by showing how SAC uses HANA’s internal artificial intelligence to generate a story from an existing data model grab.
